1987年、宇宙開発事業団に入社。1989年から宇宙ステーションの開発、事業推進、宇宙環境利用、月惑星探査計画などを担当。2015年より宇宙探査イノベーションハブを立ち上げ。これまで宇宙に関係のなかった業界と連携した研究開発事業を推進。2017年より同副ハブ長。2020年より現職。

Mr. Kazuyoshi Kawasaki is currently responsible for promotion of the research and development system of human spaceflight technology and space exploration technology as the director for JAXA Management and Integration Department, Human Spaceflight Technology Directorate. Since joining JAXA in 1987, he has been involved in the operation and utilization of Japanese Experiment Module, “Kibo” of the ISS for about 20 years. In 1998, he has served as a researcher for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
