1996年慶応義塾大学経済学部卒・日商岩井（現双日株式会社）入社。メディア・コンテンツ事業、サプライチェーン・マネジメント、BPO事業、バイオメトリクス、ICT関連事業などのビジネス展開に尽力。双日米国会社・シリコンバレーオフィス代表、日商エレクトロニクスUSA取締役、NTTデータ3C(現NTTデータ スマートソーシング）取締役、双日・情報産業課課長などを歴任。2018年より現職。現在は、さくらインターネット株式会社にて執行役員としてIoT、AI、衛星技術関連事業に従事する傍らM&A事業を担当。

Ueda has been served as an executive officer at SAKURA internet Inc. and responsible for IoT, AI and satellite technology related business development and M&A activities since 2018. Prior to this position, he served as a regional president of Sojitz Silicon Valley Office, director of NTT Data 3C (currently NTT Data Smart Sourcing), director of Nissho Electronics USA and manager of ICT business section, Aerospace & IT business division of Sojitz Corporation including management of Sojitz’s subsidiaries such as Nissho Electronics, Sojitz Systems and SAKURA internet Inc. He began his career at Nissho Iwai Corporation (former Sojitz Corporation) in 1996 and he was dedicated to the business development in the area of media and contents business, supply chain management, BPO business, biometrics and other ICT related business and so on. He also earned his Bachelor of Economics in Keio University in 1996.
