鹿児島大学農学部林学科卒業。技術士（建設部門：河川、砂防および海岸・海洋）。1992年日本工営に入社。仙台支店、（一財）砂防・地すべり技術センター（出向）、大阪支店、東京本社に勤務。防災分野、砂防分野に携わり、自治体業務、直轄砂防事業に加え、ダム、道路など幅広い事業に従事。2011年より大阪支店技術第二部長、2018年より本社砂防部長、2020年より国土保全事業部副事業部長、2021年より新設された衛星情報サービスセンター長。砂防学会、日本地すべり学会、日本リモートセンシング学会に所属。建設コンサルタンツ協会常任委員会災害対策・BCP検討WG委員。

Graduated from Kagoshima University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Forestry. Professional Engineer, Japan (Civil Engineering: River, Coastal & Ocean Engineering). Joined Nippon Koei in 1992 and worked at the Sendai Branch Office, General Incorporated Association Sabo and Landslide Technical Center (secondment), the Osaka Branch Office, and the Tokyo Head Office. Involved in the field of disaster prevention and Sabo and has worked on a wide range of projects related to dams and roads, in addition to municipal work and erosion control projects under direct jurisdiction. He has been General Manager of the No.2 Engineering Department of the Osaka Branch Office since 2011, General Manager of the Sabo Engineering Department of the Head Office since 2018, Deputy General Manager of the Geohazard Management Division since 2020, and General Manager of the newly established Center for Satellite Intelligence Service since 2021. He is a member of Japan Society of Erosion Control Engineering, the Japan Landslide Society, and the Remote Sensing Society of Japan. He is also a WG member of Disaster Countermeasures & BCP Study of the Standing Committee of the Japan Civil Engineering Consultants Association.
